The safety and wellbeing of athletes will be always IFMA’s main concern. While one Technical Delegate, Dato Shahnaz Azmi, is supervising the SEA Games in the Philippines the other one, Dmitry Putilin, is on a 4 day visit to Abu Dhabi to inspect the final preparations.
Dmitry Putilin stated: “congratulations to the UAE Muaythai Federation for putting together world class facilities and an amazing venue in which Asia’s best athletes will compete in both Muaythai as a ring sport and the cultural elements waikru and may Muaythai.”
The 4 star hotel is waiting for the athletes with private beach and gym to ensure best training facilities. Abu Dhabi is already in Muaythai fever, billboards and entire house fronts welcoming the Asian athletes to the UAE capital. Many VIPs from the Olympic world, the UAE government and IFMA family will come to enjoy the talents of Asia in one of the most thriving cities.
IFMA as an IOC and in Asia as an OCA recognised organisation will continue to put the athletes at the heart of all activities not just at events but regardless in what part of pyramid they will participate.
