The Lebanese Muaythai Championships taking place last weekend demonstrated a high standard of the national events. Held in the beautiful location best Lebanese athletes in male and female divisions stepped in the ring to qualify for the upcoming international Muaythai events.
Representatives from the government, sports authorities and old friends of the federation took invitation by the President of the Lebanese Muaythai Federation, Mr. Sami Kiblawi and joined the event to support the Lebanese athletes. The crowd filled the grandstand of the venue with even no standing space left as the first bout opened the competition.
It was for the first time that Lebanon implemented the IFMA registration platform and a special credit should go to Mr. Muhammad Amr, the Head of the Universities Committee at the Lebanese Muaythai Federation who did a great work to present the competition on the highest IFMA level.
Muaythai in the Middle East is truly becoming a powerhouse for Muaythai talents and the the Lebanese Muaythai is a bright example of it.
